Te Anau 2022/23 Reservations

The Distinction Hotels Group wishes to advise that Distinction Te Anau Hotel & Villas will continue to hibernate for the 2022/23 season, however our sister Te Anau hotel; Distinction Luxmore remains fully operational and the 4-star hotel looks forward to continuing to welcome visitors to Fiordland, as New Zealand’s borders re-open.

Distinction Hotels Group CEO Duncan Fletcher said "with some uncertainty surrounding firm dates for border re-opening, international flight schedules and the escalating Russia-Ukraine crisis, the market is still too volatile to risk having two hotels operational in Te Anau for the upcoming summer season". 

"By focusing on one hotel, we have the ability to ensure that the Luxmore hotel has adequate staffing levels to ensure that all of our guests receive our distinctively high level of service. The Luxmore team have done an outstanding job over the past 2 years and with a 180-room capacity, we believe we will be able to comfortably accommodate all those travellers wishing to experience this special piece of NZ paradise", he said.

A delayed re-opening of Distinction Te Anau Hotel & Villas will also allow for a potential refresh. Hampered by supply chain issues during the pandemic, refreshment plans have been interrupted, but Distinction Hotels hope that the additional hibernation time will allow them to give the lakefront hotel a new look in time for a 2023/24 season re-opening.
